review 1: What would it be like to live a life where you have it basically scheduled down to the minute for everything and then the day you turn 30 find out you are a demon slayer and your whole life turns upside down? That's what happens here to Lizzie. This book isn't overly exciting but it keeps a steady pace for action and a storyline to find out more about the main characters. I'll definitely be checking out more of the books in the series!
review 2: I love the Kindle books with professional narration, otherwise I would not be able to enjoy a book for the last 6 weeks during my physical therapy and grandkids. I love a good narrator, and this book has a good one.I found that the characters of this series to be funny and outrageously wicked. Lizzie needs a reality che
... moreckout and Grandma supplies it within the first 10 minutes after meeting. From there on the story is just full of outrageously wicked, redneck, biker, Red hat wearing grannies and Lizzie's foretold destiny that she wants nothing to do with. Good change from the normal paranormal romance. less

lillie is a preschool teacher who becomes a demon slayer on her 30th birthday. Lillie doesn't really cuss much but everybody else sure does! the story was cute but I felt the dialogue and secrets to be stupid. when she first finds out and fights off a demon and meets her grandma for the first time (all this is in first chapter) I would think that she would be more demanding on answers but she's not. her grandmother gives her vague answers and she takes it.

I have to disagree with other reviewers - this was actually quite amusing. No you wont like it if you take everything too seriously but if you like your fantasy with a dose of humour then you will love it. I loved the fact that Lizzie wasn't perfect and made daft mistakes, I also loved Pirate - we need more from him as he was an excellent foil for Lizzie. This is perfect for reading on a long journey - doesn't require too much effort and will amuse you.

This was cute. I enjoyed it. Might even look up the other books in the series in future.
