review 1: OH MY GOD.All the good things I could say about this...how could I put it all in one little review with19892 words left? Well let me start with the beginning as all summaries and reviews would.I got so angry at the characters I mean who caresabout the law? THEY HAD TO GET MARRIEDNO MATTER WHAT. And then I was confusedbut then angry at Paca and Jagen and Toraf then became forgiving to Toraf and then wanted to squeezeEmma and Galen with all the feels I have. I wasshocked many times. Oh and at one point I was so angrythat I cried. Oops, then I was so happy that I cried. Oops. But for real this book was 10 times better then thefirst if you didn't like the first then you willlove this one. just sayin.
review 2: These books are so much fun!WHAT I LIKED: -This picked
... moreup right where the last book left off and hit the ground running.-More mermaid lore! This took place mostly in the mermaid world, and I enjoyed meeting more characters and seeing more mermaid interactions. -Any miscommunication between characters was resolved fairly quickly and none of the drama felt overly drawn out. -On the same note, this book was short and fast paced. It didn't feel like anything was added in just to make it longer. -The characters we know and love from the first book are back in all their glory. They are such a funny, loveable bunch of characters and I was happy to see them again.WHAT I DISLIKED: - Yes, sometimes Galen seems a lot like Edward Cullen in his over-protectiveness. He has his reasons, and I understand them, but it still can get annoying. Overall, I loved this book just as much as the first one. These are great books to get anyone out of a reading slump. So fast paced and fun. I cannot wait to round out the series with Of Neptune. less

Pretty decent for a teen book. I still loved all the characters, though this book did remind me a lot of humans and all our stupidity sometimes, which made me sad. I'm not sure why I expected the Syrena to be different, but I did. Perhaps it was my own expectations that made me hurt by this book. I'm hoping the author wraps up everything nicely in the final book.P.S. I love Rachel! I wish I had me a Rachel who could do anything and everything I wanted or needed....sheesh:-). She kind of reminds me of the Win character in all the Myron Bolitar novels, only the rated PG-13 version of him.
