The Syrena Legacy
review 1: I liked this book a lot more than I thought I was going to. Some parts of the book particularly Toraf and his reaction to things were pretty funny. This book were predictable like when they learned that Emma was only a half-bred Syrena. I think that Banks did a good job taking a common idea (mermaids) and making it more realistic sounding. I liked the different reasons that the Syrena made up for famous human events, like the sinking of the Titanic. I also liked how the direct relationship between Emma and Galen developed through out the book instead of them just jumping right together and loving each other right away. This book was a fun book to read although I probably would not have chosen it to read had it not been on the Gateway list.
review 2: It was some
... morewhat predictable but I didn't know there was a sequel and then a third book too. They left it off in a really "want to read the next book" style, which I don't personally like but now I want to read the second one. Galen is a little cliche, not the 'merman' kind, but the hunk, good looking kind. Emma is stubborn, which I find most days now that the bratty wannabe pretty doesn't get anywhere. To add, Rayna and Toraf as well which may seem useless but when you can't find anyone else, just add a sister and a best friend less

Pretty good read. Main character can be a little annoying at times, but I enjoyed it!
