review 1: Elyse has sworn off boys ever since she caught her old boyfriend making out with her best friend. Obviously neither are still her boyfriend or friend. Too bad her new neighbor Patrick doesn't know that. Funny and caring, Patrick enters Elyse's life. He says he's no longer crushing on her, and seems to have moved onto Dina, who Elyse wanted him to be with in the first place. Unfortunately for her, though, she's now crushing hard on Patrick, and doesn't know what to do about it. I give this book 4/5 stars because at times I found the book to be a little bit boring and sort of slow. It took a while to get to the point of the plot. Despite this, the book was very cute and I really enjoyed the humor in it.
review 2: I enjoyed this light, reluctant romance of Else an... mored Patrick. Else had her heart broken the last Valentine's Day and she's reluctant to allow anyone to break it again. Patrick is the best kind of boy next-door and I like the goofy and honest way he relates to Else. Their friendship and later dating has it's ups and downs. A charming, heart-warming read. A delightful love story with a happy ending (and lots of chocolate).Recommended. less
