Thanks to the Orangutan Librarian for tagging me in this one! I’m really intrigued by this tag for a couple of reasons. First of all, the zombie apocalypse, obviously. Second, it’s different than the usual book tag. It kind of resembles all those stupid things my friends paste on facebook. (Pick the first 5 friends on your list to find out how your bank heist would go! No cheating!) On facebook I find them stupid, but since book characters are involved here I’m ready to have some fun.
The Rules:- Choose 5 books!
- Randomly set up your books in order.
- Flip to a random page in the book and write the first two names you see.
- Put the names in the categories listed below in the order you saw them!
- Cry at how screwed you are…
Okay, I’m just using the goodreads random feature to choose five books, and an online random number generator to pick the pages. Because I like ACTUAL randomness, haha.
Haha, oh my goodness, I just got the most random assortment of books EVER. Most of you have probably not read them all. This should be hilarious.
The First Person to DieNico from The Blood of Olympus. Kind of ironic, really… Maybe he’ll just resurrect himself.
The Person You Trip to Escape the ZombiesReyna from The Blood of Olympus. Fair enough. She probably would have done the same to me.
The Person that Trips YOU to Get Away From the ZombiesSerena Joy from The Handmaid’s Tale. Well, in times of crisis you find out someone’s true colors. I can’t say I’m shocked. Still, you expect better from a former televangelist.
The First Person to Turn Into a ZombieThe Commander from The Handmaid’s Tale. Maybe there’s some poetic justice there, but I’m pretty much indifferent on this one.
The Team IdiotRamoth from Dragonflight. Well this doesn’t seem right at all! Ramoth is an intelligent dragon! Perhaps she was bitten by a zombie and it addled her brain…
The Brains of the GroupLessa from Dragonflight. This seems appropriate. Lessa is uncommonly good at coming up with successful plans. I’ll trust my life to her.
The Team MedicJemmy from Moll Flanders. I don’t remember this book well enough to know if this is a good thing or bad thing, but Cliff Notes says he’s a friendly highwayman. Maybe in his time robbing people he had to learn some good medical skills… Still, they will be 17th century medical skills, so probably we’re screwed.
The Weapons ExpertMoll Flanders from Moll Flanders (I guess… Most of the characters aren’t listed by name…). Yeah, we’re screwed.
The BrawlerThe Merchant from The Alchemist. This doesn’t seem right at all. The Merchant is kindly and timid. Plus, one of those gentle Muslim types. But, again, the apocalypse does tend to bring out the worst in people…
The Team LeaderSantiago from The Alchemist. I’m not sure I want Santiago leading my group. He’s pretty clueless. He succeeds in this book mostly through help and good fortune. Still, I guess that means God is on our side?
Well, I don’t know if I’ve managed to survive or not. I hope I’m not infecting the people I’m tagging…
