review 1: Imaginative thriller, placing the protagonist Jenny, in an unlikely situation whereby she has done what needed to be done, but nobody else was willing to do. Collared for this by the ‘agency’, she is placed in the hands of McAllistair, a man who makes a very healthy living from extracting information from those who do not want to give it, by any means necessary. Upon discovering that Jenny is not who the agency think, he vows to protect her from them, as they go on the run together. A thought provoking novel which verges on both the sinister and the mushy at times, exploring the ideas of government, what is above authority and a sprinkle of Stockholm syndrome thrown in for good measure. An engaging read.
review 2: I actually liked this one. It was very fas
... moret paced but not too fast. A good balance of suspense and romance. I believe the author is british and some of the wording seemed odd to me but I still had no problem understanding what was being said. The only real complaint is I felt the characters could have used a little more development but overall I was fine with it. There is a 2nd book Dangerous Lies that tells Jenny's brother, Alan's story. less

The suspense was great! But again, too much sexual content for me.
