review 1: I received a free copy of this book from goodreads. I would rate it 2.5 starts. I really enjoyed the location of the story, and the secondary characters. I liked the mystery part of the story too. I liked both the hero and heroine of the story, as separate characters. I just didn't like the romance aspect of it. There as just such animosity between them for the entire book, I didn’t really buy them falling in love, when they didn’t really like each other. I will probably give the author another chance and read the next one in the series.

A man who served hi... mores country has turned into a private investigator and in search of a millionaire heir that was lost during the prohibition. Maggie and Dex will come together to solve this mystery and find each others soul mate. I really liked this story. The plot was fantastic but left the reader hanging at the end. I am excited to read the second edition. The characters were really good. Maggie was a bit hardened for me though. I kept trying to really like her but alas....no go.Goodreads Winner Book less
