review 1: Rose is at a loss. She has no parents, no friends, and a long lost half-stepbrother that her grandmother/legal guardian won't let her see. While all this is happening two people are murdered from her school and she always seen to be right in the middle of the action. She doesn't know how true this statement actually is until she finally talks to the one person that has information about her parents.
review 2: I enjoyed this one, for the most part. It is a straight-up murder mystery with no paranormal characters or dystopian settings. By the end of the book, the lower-case-m-ysteries were solved, but the upper-case-M-ystery remained and had become less believable...I guess in order to lure us to the next book in the series...kind of what happened to the Coben bo
... moreok Shelter but to a smaller extent. I still think my students will enjoy it, but I am subtracting one-half point because of it. less
