review 1: I decided to read this book because the title looked interesting and I had heard that Anne Cassidy was a good author. It fits into the female main character category on the bingo board as the main character is Rose. My favourite quote from the book was, "It would scab over. Then, in days, she would see it come to life on her arm. A blue Morpho. Her favourite butterfly". This is my favourite quote from the book because I could imagine the blue butterfly as I read the text. It was an interesting read because it was about a girl called Rose whose mother and her step dad had disappeared without a trace and her stepbrother is trying to find out what happened to them. Something new I learned from this book is that their are crimes in the world still unsolved and people who are s... moretill missing like Rose's mother and step dad in the story. One of my favorite characters is Joshua because even though Rose has given up looking for their parents Joshua hasn't given up and still believes they could be alive.
review 2: Very good book. Felt intrigued at the very beginning. Felt dislike towards Anna almost immediately. I felt that some of the choices Rose made were dangerous and foolish, so had my heart in my mouth for several chapters! Enjoyed learning about Rose's confusing feelings towards Joshua; it was an interesting plot twist. However intriguing I found the beginning of the novel, I always had in mind these notebooks which could reveal secrets. It was mentioned on the blurb, so naturally, I believed it was going to be a main plot element. However, the notebooks were only discovered in the penultimate chapter... Not what I was expecting, I have to say. Felt rather disappointed, actually, as I was looking forward to seeing if I could crack the codes inside them. If the notebooks had not been mentioned on the blurb, my review would have been 4 stars, but because I'm disappointed about them not being featured more, It'll have to be 3. less

The only reason I finished the book is because I wanted to know who's the killer.
