review 1: My mistake, it is available on UK Kindle, it's at the end of Shamless.Not entirely sure why this was written. It's too short to get to know anyone, the story kinda feels moot. We know enough about the Heavenly Host to not need to know how it started. We could have guessed a Rohan would be involved.If you are a Rohan series fan and haven't yet read it, I wouldn't worry too much. It's not at all any way instrumental to the series, you are not missing out on anything. Don't pay for it, a few pages and the story is done and as I have said above, it comes with Shameless UK Kindle version.
review 2: A prequel to the house of Rohan, not necessary to read prior to the series. Each book is stand alone but it does help to know the characters in the full chapter book... mores but not necessary. This is about the start up of the club dedicated to the fulfillment of sexual desires that features in each of the books by Anne Stuart. In this an impoverished innocent is invited to take part in the groundbreaking of the covenant by giving up her maidenhood. A short story with a minimal amount of plot. less

This story is well written, but it lacks depth. There are many plot points that could have been fabulously expanded upon, and all were just glazed over. That said, it is a prequel to a trilogy, but I left the story feeling as if it was "finished" in this respect ... not as if I needed to grab the trilogy to find out what happens next. Bottom line: I would read another book by this author based on quality of writing.
