review 1: This is the last book I've read of the first set in the series. Paige seems to have the most interaction with the other ladies in the book club, and so this book has more overlapping scenes than the other three books did. However, I didn't find it repetitive or dull. I liked seeing Paige's take on scenes I'd read through the other characters' points of view. I liked the LDS flavor this story had. For me, it made Paige relatable in a way the other ladies were not (although I loved reading about differing religious beliefs in the other three books). I also loved reading about Paige's life as a mother of young boys--something else I have in common with her. Paige's story was more of a romance. I thought Derryl was an adorable romantic counterpart. This is a strong women's fic... moretion tale, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now that I've finished the first set in the series, I absolutely love how well the first four novels work together. I love how some women get their happy endings, and others don't. I love how some were more romances than others. I think these novels represent the best of women's fiction--women's lives and their relationships with others. I loved spending time with these women, and I loved hearing their stories. I am so excited to read the second set in the series now!
review 2: It's closer to between 3 1/2 and a 4. I’m torn after reading this book. I liked it, it’s very well written, but it left me unsatisfied. I guess I was hoping for more, and there were lots of unresolved issues. This was the first one I read in the series. Hoping the others are not so open, or leave me with questions, like this one.I didn't read all the reviews, so I'm not sure if this has been addressed, but there's a POV slip at the bottom of page 223. Nothing too big, but enough to notice. less

Not really what I expected but it had a good message. I enjoyed reading it.

Much better than "Daisy", but another unsatisfying ending.
