review 1: Normally I automatically rate books about cheating poorly because I absolutely hate books about that but I read this from a recommendation of a friend and I should have read the synopsis before agreeing. Cheating aside... The story was very well written and kept me guessing.... Sort of. I figured out the big twist and about the secondary character's involvement pretty much from the get-go. The idea of the twist was great.
review 2: Usually, I would rather not put a review for a book that I rate at less than 3 but I just looked at the 5 star reviews - which I based getting this book on and decided there had to be more balance.The writing was at best amateurish. The characters were - meh!Do we really believe that a sensible woman who is prosecuting a case agains... moret a drunk driver is then going to drink drive? Why would she just walk out of work as she pleased, phone in sick and forget to do important pieces of work and not think she would get the sack?Then the husband forgives and forgets and gives her dirty sex whilst going from being a really straight guy to hiding a body and contriving to get another man arrested.Sorry but it did zilch for me. Each to their own. less
