review 1: If you believe the premise of this book, then we should all worship Satan. After all, it is God who wants to defeat Satan in the final battle for Earth, and since Satan knows he will lose, the solution is to delay the inevitable forever. The book is quite funny, especially with the opening take on the Apostles. I wish Satan had played a larger role in the book and displayed more powers. Although his powers exceed pyromania, certainly in the past 6000 years, he could have experimented with more. The book is reminiscent of Good Omens, of course, but with more of a Texas twist than British understatement.
review 2: A madcap, zany, sarcastic, Pratchett-esque romp through an impending apocalypse.Anthony Miller has produced a witty, more than a little nuts, meta
... morephorically packed tale. With characters ranging from a devil taking anger-management lessons, a would-be yogi with over-attachment issues, a slap happy female CIA agent and a hippy who is a hamper short of a picnic you know you're in for a bizarre read.Apparently there are spelling mistakes, however, I was so engrossed that I didn't notice any (maybe they've since been fixed). The prose did tend to switch between the past and present tense, but I don't think it took much away from the story. This book is lots of fun and definitely worth checking out. less

Really funny! A bit jerky in spots but it made me laugh out loud and that is a good thing.
