review 1: This was essentially along the lines of 'the nanny from Hell' as Agatha is taken on to look after two young children, but unfortunately she has secrets that she doesn't want to reveal and, although she is great with the children, also has 'serious issues'. The book is also about Ruth and Christian, who have relationship issues, trying to balance responsible jobs whilst at the same time rearing two young children, one of whom at 3 years of age refuses to eat and the other who is prone to tantrums. Quite a good story overall - 8/10.
review 2: This was quite an intense read, fairly short at 279 pages, but packs a punch! Aggie is the perfect Nanny, but is she too perfect? Ruth & Christian work hard and long & need someone to take care of their daughter Betty and to
... moreddler Hal, while they are at work. Aggie comes along at the right time and quickly becomes indispensable, but there's something bubbling under the surface that comes to a head. At the same time as past issues in her employers marriage resurface. This is an excellent debut from Araminta Hall and it gets right under the skin and into the heads of the main characters to show that everything is not always as it seems. less

Ok so it is pretty predictable but, nevertheless, is a great page-turner, whiles away a few hours.
