Venom by Fiona Paul
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I originally thought that this book would turn out to be a suspenseful romance set during the ~1800s. Well, that wasn’t exactly the case. It was a romance, and it was suspenseful, but neither of those plot lines reached it’s final climax, they’re continued in the next book(s).
Cass is an orphaned daughter who has been engaged since forever to Luca, whom is off in France studying. Trying to escape her fate she runs into Falco and a whole host of problems. Then Luca returns.
Yeah, it makes for an interesting love triangle, and I love whom she chose at the end of the book. However, that doesn’t make all of Cass’s problems go away…
I found this book at the Dollar Tree and thought the blurb sounded interesting, and it was. It kept me entertained for a couple weeks. I’ve never been disappointed with Dollar Tree books as they’ve always been at least work a dollar’s entertainment.
