A-gruppen (Intercrime)
review 1: I really enjoyed this book, the second I have read by Arne Dahl. On the whole , a great plot, with a real twist at the end. refreshing that not all loose ends tied up and that the police do not get it right. Characters seem real and have real everyday concerns. Sometimes there are weaknesses in the plot that detract from the book.i.e. the unbelievable plan to try to catch the serial killer at airport, surely there was a more logical way to do this. Also in the real world would such a dangerous serial killer, once caught, be left to be guarded by two officers, with little or no briefing and no clear security procedures for dealing with meal times etc. These were only minor complaints , overall a really good read.
review 2: Second in the Intercrime series and as
... moregood as the first. Firstly I thought it was clever the way the past was brought into the present so a new reader would have some idea of the previous novel - but not enough to spoil it. Also, every so often there would be a recap - sometimes helpful especially with a lot of (unfamiliar) names. Although I don't like graphic violence it was handled briefly and though it was horrific not dwelt upon. Good characterisation of the police too. Lots of twists and turns. Looking forward to number 3! less
