review 1: In a word...Awkward. I liked the story's theme but it was an awkward storytelling. Hutch and Natalie are total opposites who attract, yada, yada, yada. The shifting, or lack of it, was what didn't come across easily to me. Something was amiss. Hutch's pack was a rag-tag group of nomads but we only get to meet Gina. Characters needed better definition and the story could have been more fluent instead of Hutch/Natalie chapters that just didn't work for me. On my Were Scale of Hotness, 2.5 stars.
review 2: Poor Natalie has a hard life living with her secret wolf that she calls a monster and try to create a life she loves. I like how the authors worked an awful situation at her prom night from five years past into the story line. Then they built around what
... morehappened and how it shaped who Natalie becomes.Hutch is not a lovable shifter. In fact he is what the author states in the blurb “an arrogant, asshole alpha male”. I seriously have an issue with men who only think of women as sexual objects and can’t even remember their name. And Hutch isn’t the only male with an issue in this book but this other male will be a surprise for the readers. But there is hope for Natalie and Hutch as the story progresses and the authors use rich details to describe fight scenes and living styles of the pack that are so different than what Natalie is use to. It is heartwarming to watch how Hutch changes throughout the story and finally how he goes for redemption with his pack and makes the ultimate sacrifice to honor his mate, Natalie. So at the end I loved him and well you need to read this unique book to see what happened. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. To see the full review visit my blog: sportochicksmusings.blogspot.com less

This is a 3.5 read. I'm hoping that the second one is even better.
