review 1: Book about the difficulties of girls' friendships--especially when one girl's parents separate--leaving her sad and somewhat depressed. This book addresses the changes girls go through when they're trying to grow up and hormones are suddenly part of the equation--along with lack of confidence, insecurity, etc. I felt like this was extremely well-written and taught some good things about how to eventually move on when you change and your friends do, too.
review 2: I liked the plot of this story very much. How Marley interacts with her dad, and dog. Her dad and her have a complicated relationship where there isnt anything wrong but things just also dont seem right. Like they can't relate to eachother so it hard for them to communicate comfortably. I did find t... morehough, that I personally wasn't making any connections. I got sort of bored with the book... I dont think the book lived up to my expectation that I had built from the summaries and reviews. Overall though I didn't think it was a bad book. I just bored too quickly. less
