The Red-Hot Cops Series
review 1: This is the second book in the The Red-Hot Cops Series and as in the first one it does not waste time in getting into the action. Sarah loved Luke but since she didn't come from the same high society class that Luke did she felt that she wasn't good enough for him and broke things off with him and married someone else. Unfortunately that marriage didn't work and years later after her divorce Luke shows up at her door and this time he is not going to let her go.Now Luke has a dominant kinky side to him and he is going to share that with Sarah and prove to her that they are the perfect match. However Luke is also all about sharing and making his woman experience her fantasies. So when his colleague helps Sarah out with a situation Luke sees the twinkle in her eyes for Noa... moreh and asks him to join them for a threesome. Again this is a very, quick read and despite it being so short I was able to connect with the characters and feel Sarah's vulnerability and lack of confidence in her relationship with Luke and Luke's strong, protective, alpha male persona bent on taking care of the woman he wants and loves.
review 2: This book was a good read. I enjoyed it. I read it in 2 hrs. It was pretty good for a erotica romance though a few things bothered me about it. Spoiler Alert. If Luke loved Sarah so much, why didn't he come back to her right away and try to win her back when he heard about her divorce? Also, I understand this is a erotica romance novel and everything but if I haven't seen my old girlfriend in 4 years and I just spend one night of mind blowing sex with her, the way to win her back isn't popping a threesome on her with Noah out of the blue, especially when you know the idea makes her feel uncomfortable. Also, keeping secrets from her like that you are working to get her ex for her isn't the way into a woman's heart. These are the issues I had. Otherwise it was a great book. It had a good pace, some suspense to it. The capture if Richard was a little anticlimactic, I was hoping for a shootout or a hostage situation. Or Luke getting injured and Sarah having to confess her undying love, none of that happened, oh well....it was still a good book. That's why it's a 4 stars instead if 5. Now I will see how I like Copping To It. I thought it was second in the series but I guess it was first, so I will be reading them out of order. I think Ava Meyers does a good job writing. I had never read her works before, I will definately be looking for other books be her in the future. less
