review 1: Muss man wirklich alles doppelt schreiben um zu verdeutlichen, dass Candice gerne alles wörtlich nimmt? Zwei Sterne ist vielleicht etwas hart, aber im Vergleich zu andern Büchern, die ich mit 3 bewertet habe, richtig. Ich nerve mich nicht gerne beim Lesen. Die Geschichte fand ich nett, wenn auch nicht besonders. Eines dieser Bücher, die manche zu ihren Lieblingsbüchern erklären, mir aber lediglich ein "war ok" entlocken. Womit ich wieder bei den 2 Sternen wäre...
review 2: If not for the unnecessary cherry-on-top-of-the-sundae ending, I would have absolutely adored this book. As is, I simply love it. Candice Phee is a remarkable girl, a wonderfully drawn character, and I could have gone straight back through the alphabet with her, if only there was mor... moree to this book. At times I did find the story uneven, but the great thing is that it self-corrects, and all things come together where it counts. less
