#SapphicAThon: Halfway Line

On the 14th December, at 12am, the SapphicAThon officially began. Today is the official halfway mark with the final week of reading ending on the 28th December. There is just one rule:

Read f/f romances that involves the main character

You can check out my original SapphicAThon TBR over here. I was obviously overambitious. Also, due to relying on my library resources for this readathon the availability of some books have changed. Here is how I have done so far!

My rating: ★★★★☆

Goodreads rating: ★★★★☆ (4.24)

Bingo space: SFF F/F

This is the second book in The Wayward Children series (you may have heard of Every Heart is a Doorway).

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book and felt like I was reading a honest-to-god fairy tale. I loved the whimsical style of the narrator and the moral behind the story.

I wish the F/F romance was a little more developed, but I also just love that it was there without having a whole backstory about Jack coming out and dating a girl.

My rating: TBA

Goodreads rating: ★★★★☆ (3.74)

Bingo space: QWOC MC

I am ~35% through this and holy moly is this book interesting.

Long story short (so far); Amara lives in another world and is experiencing blackouts, Nolan lives in the world as we know it and every time he closes his eyes he sees Amara’s world through hers. Everyone else has labeled the situation as seizures. Super interesting and I have no idea where this is going.

Not sure how I’m feeling about the F/F so far, nothing has happened yet, just a tension and maybe some tingly feelings.

Goodreads rating: ★★★★☆ (3.9)

Bingo space: Non-coming out story

This has been the most engaging story for me so far this readathon. I don’t know what it is about LaCour’s writing but it sucks me in.

Basically everyone in this book has super awesome jobs despite being only just about to graduate school, there is already a mystery (!),  and Emi’s ex- has already made me mad. And I’m only 1/3 of the way through.

It’s been a slow week for reading (holiday season is officially upon us!) but I love what I’ve read for Sapphicathon so far! Have you read these books? If so, what did you think? What are you reading for Sapphicathon? Let me know!
