Brigid Quinn
review 1: I liked Brigid Quinn, however I refuse to read books that require me to suspend belief to the extent required with Brigid's first interaction with a dangerous situation. I really couldn't buy her excuses for her stupid decisions. I find that Thomas Perry and Lawrence Block write more believable flawed characters. I get the sense that the author doesn't think the book would sell without putting the title character into situations due to their own bad decisions.
review 2: Well, I have a new heroine and a new series. I just finished this debut novel, and can't wait for the next, which won't be out until January, I believe. What an intriguing protagonist! She's a 59-year-old former FBI special agent trying to live a quiet life of newlywed marital bliss but gets
... more involved in a crime related to one of her old cases. What a wonderfully unique character she is. I love her character's "voice". The storyline wasn't even vaguely similar to any other thriller I've ever read; it was unpredicatable, uncliched, etc. It's so rare to read a good book with a heroine of this age who is strong, smart, and independent, and yet so human in many ways. I highly recommend this book--RAGE AGAINST THE DYING. less

Good enough to keep me interested. But some the main character's choices were pretty incredulous.
