review 1: Wow wow wow. Every line was a quote, every paragraph a poem. It took me less than a day to finish the piece of art that is this book, and I wish it never ended.It’s one of those books where things happen, but there’s not really a plot. There is, but it’s subtle, emotional, up to interpretation. But so so so good. Don’t be fooled by the synopsis. It sucks. I almost didn’t read it, and boy would that have been a mistake. I can’t really describe it more than that. 10/10 suggest for everyone to read.
review 2: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I found out about it from my sister's goodreads account. The premise is not just another "coming of age" story. The feelings of Aristotle and Dante are very personable and relate-able. Many teenagers f... moreeel "alone" and it can be a very difficult time in their lives. The twist of the story was when Aristotle gets hit by the car; at least the first twist. I had no idea it was coming and neither did he. The months he spend rehabbing was very near and dear to my heart cause I've been there many times. You want to not be a burden but also don't want to be smothered by people trying to help. Aristotle can be whiny at times and secluded but he is a complex character thus making it more interesting. Dante always test the limits and together they help to balance each other out. I appreciated the family secrets finally being told about his brother and what caused him to go missing aka prison. When reading the synopsis, I had no idea that it would turn into a romantic relationship between Aristotle and Dante. I quickly realized as Aristotle's descriptions of Dante became more then just friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and plan to read more by this author. less
