review 1: Hey, there really aren't any original stories out there and heroes on a quest is pretty common, sure, but it ain't just about the pizza crust but what you put on it that makes the difference. Okay, there's a magic couch, like putting curried cauliflower on your pizza, that.The writing is good, and even better in spots, and the plot has enough gentle turns to remain interesting. What I liked the best--and I can't talk about it without spoilers--was the end and how our main character has time to contemplate his life from different angles.3.5 stars.

In the end I was surprised and for lack of a better word, annoyed, but also so glad that I read this one.Couch is like nothing else I have ever read and I would love for it to be made into a movie starring James Franco, Hubble Palmer, and Rupert Grint. That there would be a fun one. less
