review 1: An excellent thriller filled with everything you could want in a mystery. The plot proceeded at a good rate, managing to keep the reader's interest well engaged. A chilling climax was all to swiftly followed by an unsatisfactory resolution. One hopes to see a sequel in the near future. The book, an English translation of the original French, did contain a few inconsistencies in context. Most likely due to mistranslation but really only noticeable if you happen to read both languages. I would read more by this author.
review 2: Cracking read, I picked this book up on impulse in the local library, I knew nothing about it or the author & wasn't expecting much. But within pages I could not out it down. Great plot, lots of twists, good pace and engaging characters. ... moreI actually resented having to talk to people on my daily commute because I really wanted to read this book. If the author writes something else I'll be sure to check him out. less
