Book Haul-5/15/17

Hey y’all!

Last week I went into Ollie’s with my mother (also, to all the mothers out there, happy mother’s day) and I found me four books-three fantasy and one non-fictional one-and I think I made a good choice because two books are books that are part of the series I swore I’d never read, a book from a series I really wanna read, and a nonfiction novel about a lot of hotels owned by a certain hotel family. You know who I’m talking about…so let’s get started on the book haul!

City of Ashes: Book Two of the Mortal Instruments novel by Cassandra Clare

This is the second novel of the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and to tell you the truth….I wanted to read more of this series. Though she’s currently writing more of the Shadowhunter series and it’s on Freeform right now, I want to read the books before I read Lady Midnight and her new book coming out. Also, I need to pick up Clockwork Princess and my Infernal Devices series would be complete (though I would love the original book cover, I’ll deal with the new ones)

City of Heavenly Fire: Book Six of the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

This book is the last and final book of the Mortal Instruments series, and honestly this is my favorite cover of the Mortal Instruments novels that I like (I loved the old covers of these books, honestly…) and just…just look at the cover. So beautiful and pretty, though the new ones are alright…

Gathering Darkness: Book Three of the Falling Kingdom series by Morgan Rhodes

Oh hello book series I’ve always wanted to read since I keep seeing it on Instagram and everywhere else I can find it. Along with many YA Fantasy novels (Throne of Glass series, A Court of Thorns and Roses series) this book is way on the list of books I wanna read and collect. But look at the cover though-so beautiful. Also, it’s giving me hella inspiration for my rouge character I play in D&D….

The Hiltons: The True Story of an American Dynasty by J. Randy Taraborrelli

So this is a nonfiction novel on the Hilton family-because I’m honestly a sucker for anything that’s about history…and fashion….and dynasties…..because honestly, if Scatter My Ashes in Bergdorf’s was still on Netflix, I would be watching it all the time…but it’s not so I’ll have to buy it and own it myself.
