review 1: I must admit, I started this book assuming that it was going to be predictable and it was for the first half, but then the last half of the book totally blew me away. I have heard this is her debut novel, if that is true, we have a very talented new author on our hands.Charlie is really on her own in With a judgmental family who can’t accept her for who she is she works two jobs to support herself and her fashion dreams. One night at the club she meets Callum, the sexy businessman who sparks some passion in her. He waits for her after her shift and as they say the rest is history. They move in together, he pays off her debts allowing her to focus her weekdays on her job as a fashion stylist and her weekends on being his lover. Problems start to occur when the weekend... mores that were meant for them suddenly become taken over by phone calls for “work” that lasted for hours. As Charlie starts to doubt Callum’s commitment to her, her two best friends come up with a plan to surprise him in London at his home there. This is when we believe the predictable is going to happen. The only thing left was to wait to see is if she can get over what she finds. Well we were very wrong because this is when the story gets very interesting. Now that the truth as she knows it is out, she has to repair her heart. Each day she tries to take a step forward only to be shoved back into more lies and pain. I have to say how this ended, once the real truth came out, impressed me. I didn’t want to hate Callum, there was just something about him through the whole book I wanted to believe in. Charlie was such a strong female character. I so admire her as she went through all of this using her head and not her broken heart. Her three friends were just fantastic characters; I wished I had a few of those kinds of friends. They were protective of her, yet also on a mission to find the truth and not be driven by emotions. The twist and turns in the last half of this book kept me reading and not wanting to stop. Her writing style read smoothly and she was able to keep my attention through the whole book. I really recommend this book, it will tug at your heart, make you go crazy trying to figure out who is lying and make you become a melting mess when you finally discover that sometimes we just have to trust our heart, especially when it won’t stop loving that person you want to believe in the most.
review 2: That was so fun to read!!!! I have a very good friend that lives in Manchester and reading this book was like having a conversation with her. I just love the word 'whilst'!! Charlie has it all! Her dream job, her totally hot dream guy and the best girlfriends that anyone could ask for! Not all is what it seems though and she faces some pretty unbelievable circumstances when it comes to her love for Callum (super cool name btw)! Will their love prevail after she finds out about the secrets he has been keeping from her? The twists and turns in the story line were amazing and it kept me totally interested until the last page! Hot sex with a searing Hot guy helped too! :)The supporting characters are hilarious and play an intricate roll in our sweet Charlies life. Everyone should have those kinds of Besties! So all in all I really enjoyed Broken Truth and look forward to the next book Beth Ashworth puts out. Bravo!!PS-Im a bit of tea snob too!!! :) less

Overall I give this 3.5. The first part was good, middle was ok, middle to end dumb, and end good.
