review 1: No sé que pasó, me gustó mucho pero a la vez no tanto. Este libro no tiene mucha originalidad, no digo que se copia de otra historia o algo es que es muy parecido al anterior, no hubieron cambios no sucedieron muchas cosas importantes.Hay otro asesino en la nave, éste va matando a los habitantes de la nave. Los alimentadores ya no viven presos bajo la droga Physus, se supone que sea bueno, pero en algún momento bajo el uso se volvieron adictos y muchos la querían de vuelta, otros comenzaron a ser humanos: violentos, suicidas, mentirosos, perezosos, huelguistas, etc. por un lado muchas facetas humanas, nuestro lado malo. Apenas si se notó que el lado humanos de las personas, estaban disgustadas porque un niño está jugando a ser líder. Estoy algo de acuerdo en este... more aspecto, para ser Eldest se necesitan años de entrenamiento y Elder no puede ir y fingir ser Eldest sin el conocimiento necesario, además en una nave que solo esconde secreto y con habitantes con síndrome de abstinencia. Algo olvidé mencionar en la reseña del libro anterior es que Elder actúa como un niño, y creí que al asumir el papel de Eldest maduraría un poco pero la mayor parte del libro siguió siendo inmaduro, el único momento en el que sentí que cambió fue cuando ofreció el puesto como Eldest probandole a las personas que no es fácil tomar decisiones por el bien de los demás. Otra cosa en el libro anterior nos cuentan que la nave se tardará más en llegar al planeta, al principio de este nos dicen que la nave está detenida y perdida en el espacio, y luego que ya llegaron están frente al planeta, luego deciden ir y luego se supone que no pueden por que se supone que es inhóspito y de todas maneras deciden ir. Es demasiado complicado, así que no sé que esperar de Tierra-CentauriEl libro me gustó mucho, son solo ciertas cosas que son irrelevantes y tediosas, y algunos personajes no llenaron mis expectativas, otros me sorprendieron mucho. Siento que tres es justo. Pero sigo con el tercero.
review 2: This book was a real page turner! Literally from page one I was hooked, and I read most of it in one day, only stopping when I absolutely had to.As I was reading this book there was so many things I was dying to know, and I especially loved the videos (if you read the book you will know what I'm talking about). They kept me guessing all through the book. I was almost never right though, haha. When it comes to the characters, this book is written in a dual perspective. And I have to confess that it was a little bit hard to differ between the two protagonist, so at times I forgot who's head I was in. However, this is only a minor flaw to an amazing book!I also think that this book brings up some interesting things from social science. Like how a society can fail and what to do when it does and so on. I don't want to say much about it, afraid I will spoil. But I found it highly interesting. Lastly I also have to say that the cover is absolutely gorgeous. I hate the cover change they did. So sad that I have to get the third book in a not matching cover :( Nevertheless, I am dying to get to the next book. less

As for Across the Universe, I was immediately sucked into the story, trying to figure out the mysteries surrounding Godspeed.In this second trilogy we find a grown Elder,more conscious about his leader's role,he has to face every problem and rebellion in Goodspeed after the Phydus off. Then we find a new Amy,stronger than before and really smart,discovering all the clues that Orion left. I really liked how it felt like the reader's job to help Amy and Elder solve the whole mystery around this shipboard.So catchy! I remember I couldn't stop reading.In the end,as a spoiler,Shades of Earth literally doesn't let you breathe until the last page!!!

In a word: Thrilling!More often than not 2nd books in trilogies tend to be "bridging" books, and often lag or have awkward pacing. This is NOT the case with A Million Suns. It was sooooooo good! Completely engaging, and I stayed up waaaaay too late to finish it. Beth Revis excels at making the reader feel what the characters are feeling. My emotional reaction to the botched space walk was very real - I could feel my panic and fear rising. So, if you like sci-fi, mystery, and adventure, sprinkled with just the right amount of romance, this book is definitely for you! Even if you don't like those things THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU.
