review 1: I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and the plot involves a dog and we get to hear from Cupid himself. "Humans think Valentine's Day is my favorite but it's not, Christmas is. Valentine's Day is a farce, a joke. It's a single day of sharing love - but Christmas, well there's just no measuring the amount of love that stirs up." It was very fitting to read during this season and it really makes you consider what is truly important in life, and that is the ones we love.
review 2: Ms. Crosby has hit a home run with this darling story! Great for Christmas--or any other time. It is a story of hope, second chances, redemption and love. I've not ever read a story before like this, a story not in first person or third person, but with a narrat... moreor (Cupid) telling the story. And I loved it! Ms. Crosby has a clean, clear and concise way with words that tells the reader exactly what's going on...no guess work. At times I was empathetic with Lindsay and her insecurities, but at other times I was so fed up with her not seeing what was right before her eyes. This author cleverly wove Lindsay's story with bits of hilarious magic, the up-and-down emotions of her widowed father, a widow lady and her angry son, and a dog search that tied it all up together into a wonderful happy-ever-after for all. What a glorious, satisfying story. I would recommend this to anyone of any age who wants to read a very good story. less
