review 1: James Hoff believes that the solution to most of the worlds' problems is to simply destroy all cars. He writes this in several papers he turns in to his English class, and makes his agenda known to anyone he meets. He cuts holes in his sweaters because he thinks it makes them look older, more worn. He's actually a little unlikeable. But really, all James wants is his ex-girlfriend, Sadie to come back to him. Especially after a new student arrives who is much more out there than he is. This kid waits by the trash cans and offers to eat any leftover food on their trays and ends up getting kicked out for it. This is a good, quick read. You can easily see James' transformation through his English essays, whether they are turned in or not. He becomes more likeable as the book g... moreoes on and he starts to realize things about himself. In the end, he finally finds something he might enjoy doing that isn't as extreme as destroying all cars.
review 2: My book destroy all cars by Blake Nelson is about a kid that is not like most Americans, he does not want to drive do what most kids want to do when they are teens. He wants to destroy all car because they are populating the air and the earth. But now that he is 17 he and has an old girlfriend that he gets back together, he forgets about what he believes in. Now all he want to do is have sex with his new girlfriend. The main character cares about our planet a lot, he does not buy unless crap that everyone else buys. He does not like to ride around in cars because they waste too much gas. Also he thinks that everyone is buying newer and bigger cars. He thinks that everyone should buy newer cars. He runs into conflicts when his old girlfriend breaks up with her boyfriend and then they start talking more. She gets him to protest in what she believes in and now he's forgetting in what he believes in. The author used conflict to show how much he cares about his girlfriend and is now believing in what she believes and now what he believes. Also the author used the plot to show how long that he has been trying to destroy all cars and trying to get his girlfriend back. I think that the biggest picture is how much he wants to destroy all cars, he has being trying his whole life to try to get where he is now and now he forgetting in what he believes in what she believes in and not what he thinks.I gave this book a 3 out of 5 because I did not believe in what the main character's point. He wants to destroy all cars but if he does destroy all of the cars, how would we get food and materials from other countries or in the United States. Without cars there is nothing we could get from other states only what we have in our state. less

It wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad either. I rather liked some of the AP essays.
