review 1: Ugh, this book was just plain awful. I think maybe the author was going for a juvenile point of view on this, but it came out all wrong. For someone who's going to be 17 and who has all this life experience of hard core drugs and drinking, she acts very childish and it came off very unrealistic and very hard to get through. I only got about 1/4th of the way through and read the last couple chapters and I don't think I missed anything. I think the plot line and the general idea of the book was great but the follow through just wasn't there. The dialogue was very strange to me and isn't what normal 17 or 19 year old people sound like these days. Just bad.
review 2: A great book about two teenagers attempting to re-create their lives after addiction. I really care
... mored about both characters and appreciated the honesty that the author put into them. The plot was good too - solid if somewhat predictable. The story just flowed for me and I read it all in one night. I'm looking forward to sharing this one with students looking for an edgier realistic young adult novel. less

Well done. Not preachy, approachable... great book for YAs on the topic of addiction and recovery.

Plotline moved too fast, and it wasn't all that believable in some areas

A little more anecdotal insight into Bonnie's situation.
