review 1: I really enjoyed the book. The comments I see here about the way it is written and how the concept can be presented in a shorter book, may be true, but at the same time, I find everybody here saying: "good concept, good theory, great philosophy..." So, I can say that the aim of the authors is achieved: They want to share what they think is the way of implementing Ubuntu in an environment that they know well: The company, and through this, they expect to generate a possitive change in society. Those of you who only have bad comments about the book, I would say that didn´t catch the Ubuntu ideal at all. My respects and gratitude to the authors for try to spread the Ubuntu philosophy, it is easier to understand when you can relate or remember, by a fictional s... moretory.
review 2: I am, because we are. The statement that sums up what the word, Ubuntu means in thi African community and how it can be applied to a business/work situation. I like the ideas of transferring the spirit of teamwork and the message this book held. I didn't love it because it follows the story of a manager and his trek towards discovering what this word means and how he can incorporate and cause his business to prosper by making his employees buy in that what helps the company, helps them...Favorite quote: "Before starting the workday I think about the things for which I am grateful.
