review 1: This collection of season-based Haiku is light hearted and engaging. I foresee using it as a mentor text for author's voice, which is so clearly evident to the reader. It will also serve as a mentor text for writing poetry. The illustrations are simple and humorous, a perfect match for the text. As a teacher, I view this as a useful book. As a reader, I enjoyed the slim volume. It will make a perfect addition to my collection of poetry for students, probably right next to Dogku. Gotta whisper to the students, sneak up on them, sometimes.

... morel of humor and down-to-earth reflection, the somewhat idealized poems capture the energy of guys out exploring the world. Boys and girls both will relate to poems about splashing in puddles, flying kites, or expressing regret at the end of summer. The simple line and watercolor illustrations match the whimsical, energetic, and sometimes profound text. This is a perfect introduction to poetry for boys and girls alike. less
