review 1: Set in the 1930's, a young woman goes to Alaska to become a bush pilot. OK. However, there are just too many modern things that happen to make this story believable. Once she gets a job piloting hunters into the bush (were there really businesses like this during the depression in Alaska?), she only gets resistance from one group of hunters and even then, when they acted up, she yelled at them and they behaved...huh??? I know there were more freedoms for women at this time period, but I don't believe that having dinner with a man at his home, alone, was one of them.Just not my kind of book I guess.
review 2: Touching the Clouds was a nice light read with some loveable characters. It was easy to become invested in the characters and their story, making you w
... moreant to turn the page to find out more. There were points where the story felt rushed or portions "brushed over", leaving questions. All in all, however, I enjoyed this book. I don't know if I will continue with the series (despite the likeability of the characters), but I don't regret spending my time with this book. less

This is a very good book. Kate is someone every woman wants to be at sometime in their life.

I loved it. A historical adventure romance, staged in Alaska , a place I would love to go.
