review 1: I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.Firstly I would like to thank the author and Carrie, the moderator of Lovers of Paranormal group of Goodreads for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this book.This is the novella that gives us an introduction of Amethyst's life before she moves on to Edenton. We get a glimpse of her life with her Ex Carl and the problems they had. Carl went to extremes to get Amethyst back and by extreme I mean it literally.It laid a great plot for the next novel and also gave us the little details about Amethyst and her background. I loved this novella like all other books in this series. A great read!!!
review 2: Out of all of the books this is possibly the one I could... more have got away without purchasing. It is a short novella that fills in some of the history of Amethyst prior to Shadows of the Past.It was as well written and compelling as all of the other books in the series and knowing that I had Shadows of the Past lined up and ready to read meant that I didn't feel that it was too short. less
