review 1: I would just say one word for the book - depressing!!I started the book and stopped it after 10 chapters...its very disturbing!! The characters of Colin and Tiffany - which we know from first are the bad characters - are just disturbed characters. It really freaked me out.....after reading one of Colin's or Tiffany's earlier pov chapter! I wanted to stop it then but, thought may be when the characters of Zoe and Jonathan will be introduced, the book might be good, also wanted to read Jon's romance. But, i did not wanted to read one more villain chapters....so just stopped reading the book itself!Even though i have become a fan of Brenda Novak from her Whiskey Creek series, i got disappointed with this one...the storyline was not doing much for me....i love sweet stories th... moreat are heart warming and makes me happy. Some books won't click for you from the first... and this was one of that for me from all the books i have read so far!!
review 2: I'm not really sure how to rate this book just yet.The Perfect Couple was good as it was disturning. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, not when you're writing from the bad guy's point of view. And let me tell you, he was a twisted son of a bee! Just remembering it gives me the creeps!The suspense was big, it kept me on the edge of my seat all through the end. God, I was freaking out. Majorly! The romance was there too, and it was enough to keep me going, that's for sure. Without it I would have put the book down pretty soon, I'm not one to stand disturbing-omg-I-can't-read-this-anymore situations. And believe me, there were plenty!I think I'll settle for a 3 star rating. While it was a good book, actually better than I expected, there were things that I just wish weren't...there. It's silly really, I get what the author ass trying to achive, and I tried to skip if it got to be too much, but GAH! And I also found it hard to connect with the writing sometimes.The Perfect Couple was intense, dark, twisted and interesting. And while I did not read the other books in the series I found it no harder to understand because of that. I actually won what I believe is the next book in the series, The Perfect Murder, which I intend yo read on the very long trip home I have tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.Nevertheless, it's worth a read, but be ready for some intense and suspenseful moments. It was torture even knowing who the bad guy was! less
