review 1: I wasn't so sure about reading Layla's story. She wasn't that like-able in Now and Then but I ended up really loving this story!Ben was absolutely dreamy and I loved how he pushed boundaries with Layla and vise versa. I loved how sensitive Ben was to Layla's past and how it didn't bother him. I loved that he never pushed her , he was a perfect gentleman! I loved the development of their friendship and how it was so much more than sex. This was just a really great read with great characters! Brenda Rothert knows how to write a good romance :)Side-note: I hate that Cole looked like an ass in this book. I know he's a great guy but it really made me dislike him. Which made me sad since I loved him in Now and Then.
review 2: The second book in the series focuses on
... more Layla. The first book cast her in an unfavorable light, very promiscuous and self-serving. In this book, she was taking a hiatus from her sex life when she met a very sexy officer, Ben. The sexual tension in this book was scorching and there was sexual banter between the two dominant characters. I really liked this couple and Ben’s dominant ways incited all kinds of emotions in Layla. He was truly someone who could stand up to her, excite her and put her in her plac less
