review 1: 3 1/2 stars--I enjoyed this. Some people are a little put off by the fact that these three fifteen year old boys lie to their parents for an entire summer, but I don't feel like that's the message being promoted in this book. After all, their lies and schemes end up making life much more difficult than if they would have just obeyed their parents and got a job. The friends have a lot of crazy adventures that require the reader to suspend disbelief, but I believe that's called fiction. :)
review 2: These three best friends have this last summer of freedom. Dave, Curtis, and Victor. They are 15 years old. Their dads told them to get summer jobs. So the three best friends come up with ideas to get out of working on the summer of their last freedom. They came up wi... moreth garage sales, to claiming rewards, to winning contests, and finding treasure. Every time they are close to their goal, something always goes wrong. Every idea they come up with was in this old abandoned bomb shelter. They think through the plans and it always seem to work, but something always goes wrong. In the end, they didn't get the money but they also had fun with this adventure they call "Project Sweet Life". less
