review 1: It's hard to title a book The Deceived without making a clear implication about the plot. That said, buckle in for a fast paced thriller that takes you from one side of the planet to the other. And while you know that deception is involved, don't expect to see the book's climax coming. This story takes some amazing twists that are guaranteed to keep you guessing and reading long into the night. The Deceived is another wonderful Quinn book that is thrilling fun from beginning to end!
review 2: To be honest, I don't know why of all the books in this genre, this is the only series I can stomach. Maybe it's because Quinn doesn't go around whoring and blowing crap up. Side characters with actual personalities definitely is one factor that keeps me reading thes
... moree books. It is true that there isn't a lot of variation between Quinn books, they go to Asia, some European country, some time in America, they get shot at, avert terrorist plot/cover-up. Sexual tension. Yep, that's about it. It's really the characters that keep me reading, and the sort of attitude of the writer like, "I don't care about original plots, you know you loved the first book, and want to read it rehashed." And he's right. less
