review 1: A great little conceptual book on one section of modern physics. Doesn't get too involved and for anyone whose been interested in the field for a while will probably find it lacking. However its not marketed for us so I'm not reviewing it that way. For a pop science book it avoids math but still has more in it that Hawking's a brief history of time. Somehow surprising as publishers try to avoid math like the plague. While it can get a little nerd crushy about CERN and particle accelerators its a good book.
review 2: Having studied Advanced Higher Physics at school I knew a little about the topics in this book, but I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't had any previous knowledge of physics. I found this book very enjoyable as it explained complex theories
... morewithout going overboard on maths and figures. Great read and well written however the only criticism I could have is the explanation of Minkowski Spacetime could have been clearer. less
