review 1: This was one of those "laugh out loud" books! I wasn't sure exactly what it was going to be like when I got the book, but I'm certainly glad that I "clicked" and got it! I found myself "chuckling"almost from the start. I don't want to spoil it for others, so it's hard to review without saying too much....but I'll try.Characters....Kayden...the "misfit" in his family so to speak. Trying-without much luck - to become an actor in a family that definitely doesn't support him. Jules...hiring an "actor" from the agency where she works - to play the part of her boyfriend Then of course, you have Jules family....including Grandma (whom I absolutely loved). Even the "unimportant" characters were given enough of a peek that you enjoyed them. Story....absolutely loved it. Di... morefferent, funny, interesting and altogether a wonderfully unique "read" (at least for me). I've never read this author before but I definitely would like to again. This book is very highly recommended if you want a cute Christmas read with a few(at least)laughs along the way.
review 2: Clean contemporary romance with two people with dysfunctional families but still have a foundation of love. I loved the famous Miss Jules Stone because she was bitter, but still 100% hopeful for love.It would be too easy to hate Kayden Reece because he seems like a totally jerky player, but there was so much more complex motivations behind his actions which makes the reader fall in love with the jerk. Jules has a messed up famous family and it does get better once Kayden becomes her pretend boyfriend.Witty banter and well written original scenes with common family problems like sibling jealousy, cheating and hurtful lies but described really well with lots of hilarious moments that made me read his book super fast in one evening.134 pages and kindle freebie4 stars less
