review 1: I think one of the things that is really unique about this series is the anti-hero in the story. This novella is all from his POV and there are aspects that make you like him, but mainly, he continues to be mostly self-involved and self-interested. He's fascinating, but I am really, really worried that somehow the heroine is going to end up with him on some level. The guy is awful, but I'm so afraid she's going to forget that. His current "transformation" of sorts isn't enough to make up for the fact that at his heart he is rotten.
review 2: After reading this... The thing that came to mind was that Cole is hecka selfish XD Like really O.o I guess being immortal does that to yaI would have liked it more if more things happened, but it was only 90 pages long..so
... moreoo I guess I can just let it pass ;P Jack is so much better in my opinion (Hope nothing happens to him! :O ) , and The writing/dialogue here was also a little awkward? :-/ I dunno..but something was off. On the happier note, I loved Max!! XD Anyhoo, On to Everbound! less
