review 1: Bryan Davis' Last of the Nephilim is an enthralling book that draws the reader in like a black hole, and makes them crave for more like man before Thanksgiving dinner. The theme of this book is to always remember what is most important to you. The author writes from the perspective of several different characters. This allows the reader to know whats going on and not be out of the loop. The writer has different characters set with their different personalities, giving the each a strong level of realism. With the maximum amount of greatness in these characters, my liking of the book is much greater than if these characters would have been normal. The settings in this book are well described and easy to identify when referenced to again at other times in the book. Bryan pain... morets the main places into your mind, allowing even some one with a small imagination to visualize the areas. The main characters travel through a portal to a different dimension where they defend the naive and pure inhabitant from incoming evils, summoned by the only fallen member of their society, from their world. I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys action with the story centered around God related actions.
review 2: I'm actually starting to really enjoy this series. The writing style is still not my favorite, but I can follow it now and I'm really starting to love all of the characters. They have truly been developed nicely despite their unrealistic mannerisms, it works. The story is starting to pick up and I'm curious as to how it will turn in the last of the series. Also, I'm really beginning to understand parts of how my friend thought because of this and I've learned through carrying them around that more people read them as children than I thought. I really would have enjoyed these as a kid, had I found them back then. less
