review 1: Just a little story about a town in tennesee and its people. Alot of sex including rape,torture and cannibalism, gruesome murders that are very detailed which make it a great horror story. However there were many things about this messed up story that I didn't like.My goodness talk about the rape scenes. Male on male,female on female, male on female and female on male. There was too much of it and it took away the plot of the story. I kept getting distracted as the chapters would go to the different characters which also made it confusing to read. There was a supernatural element to this story which took away from everything else going on in this story as there was enough craziness already.It started off as a great read but it was just too much chaos that read more like a ... moreporn book and if I really wanted to read a porn book I would of read that instead.
review 2: My new favorite Bryan Smith novel. One thing I always liked about Bryan Smith is that he knows how to write a truly badass female character and this book was full of them, some good and some bad but all great characters. All the characters wether man or woman where great the woman where my favorite though. It has multiple story lines containing dark humor, action, Gore and depravity at its finest. As the story lines switch from chapter to chapter and character to character they all had great cliffhanger that left me thinking I couldn't wait to get back to that story line but only for a page or two until the next story line had me hooked again and feeling the same way when it ended. I loved every bit of the book from beginning to end. less
