review 1: It’s been quite a while since I visited the world of the Grimm Diaries and I must say I missed those goofy but lovable characters that Jace has brought to life in a whole new way! Happy Valentine’s Slay has so many elements and characters that it can be hard to keep up if you don’t pay close attention. You have many overarching story lines, some good old-fashioned killing, dancing and kissing and of course someone causing all hell to break loose by being a bit careless. Hard to go wrong with that combination! The characters are fun and easily likable, my favorites being Marmalade (can’t help but root for her) and Ladle Rat (the poor dear). The plot is a bit twisted around and hard to decipher at times as to where it is going, but I think that fits with the people in... morevolved. The ending delivers quite the shock and makes one character all the more pitiable, though I doubt they’d like that reaction much. This was a good holdover prior to the release of the final prequels 11-14 and soon after the first full length novel that I’m so excited for, Snow White Sorrow.Rating: 4/5
review 2: {my thoughts} - This book is written for the point of view of the actual {sandman}. I liked this book because it showed another side to {ladle rat} and it allows for the storyline to expand into something more. Something magnificent. I have really come to love these prequels and enjoy reading them every chance I am able. I know for sure they are something I will gladly re-read again in the future. {reason for reading} - I was given this book as a gift from the author. In return I am giving him an honest review. less

This one wasn't my favorite, but still fun. Poor, poor Laddle Rat! But, you have to read to know.
