review 1: I really wanted to like this book..... but every time I started to think it was getting interesting the story just flopped. The characters aren't really that interesting and the things that they do are unrealistic to the point of annoying. The settings were garbage and confusing. I would start to get a picture in my head and the author would throw ing something that would ruin it and make it not work.... things seemed to always be contradicting. The story itself had potential to be great but the writing failed to make it happen.
review 2: This book is good for those that are too young for Hunger Games but still enjoy dystopia societies. Simple language, interesting character, but a lot of the scrapes that the characters run into are resolved almost instantaneou
... moresly. Get stuck in a jail cell? Have a character that can conveniently climb walls and into an air vent to escape. Try to break into a seemingly impossible fortress? Have a new character show up within the hour that finds a way in. All of these plot points that would normally grind the action to a dead halt are shortcutted with miraculous introductions of characters with too-good-to-be-true attributes. After Hunger Games, it reads like a story written by a child. less

The idea of this book was interesting but the characters were hard to like in the beginning.
