review 1: I didn't like this one as much as the first book. Let me tell you why. First Cassie's personality was missing all the spunk that she had in the first book. Yes I know she was kidnapped and thus but it is not like she wasn't in dangerous situations in the first book. Second, there was no running. Third, even though I liked Dr. Tattoo in the first book their whole being in love and kissing whenever they were together seemed like too much. The two of them haven't even been on a date and all they do is kiss when they are together. Not that I don't like their kissing scenes I do! It seems like more than chemistry should be involved in a relationship before professing your undying love. There were also other reasons I didn't like this book as much but I don't want to give... more too much away.
review 2: I was given a copy of Dying to Run by Cami Checkett in exchange for unbiased an honest review. The story gracefully picked up where Dead Running left off. This book was just as jammed packed with action and mystery. There are bits and pieces of romance sprinkled in the story but I like that many questions from first book were answered. This was a very rapid paced storyline. There were many different issues dealt with by Cassidy like human trafficking, and murder. To see her deal with it along with Dr Tattoo we see how strong willed she truly was. less
