review 1: I was given a copy of Dead Running by Cami Checkett in exchange for a unbiased and honest review. Cassidy Christensn never really got over the horrifying death of her parents several years ago. She flows through life with no real purpose. She never stays with anything for any length of time. She doesn't stay focused on anything always quitting. Until her sister in law introduces her to running. For once she wants to prove to her family that she can stick with something long term. This is a fast paced mystery that keeps you guessing from one page to another. Throughout the story we see her developing into a strong woman. I look forward to reading more in this series .
review 2: Intense fast-paced story. Cassidy has lost both her parents and is trying to... more find herself in spite of her Grandma's and older brother's smothering protectiveness. When she wins an entrance into a marathon, her life moves in an unplanned direction. She trains and meets two appealing men who compete for her affection and trust (Damon and Jesse). When the killers of her parents reappear after two years, fear takes hold of her heart and makes her suspicious of everything--even the truth. This story was awesome! Cassidy's sarcasm and wit made me love her. She's a great character. Can't wait to read the next book by Cami Checketts. less
