review 1: Ugh. How did this book ever get on my reading list? The plot is so cookie-cutter - you know what's going to happen from a mile away. At the same time, there are huge plot holes that one is supposed to overlook - suspension of disbelief? And a cop who randomly starts calling the victim sweetheart. Really? A professional is going to start calling the victim sweetheart and hitting on her? It's just ridiculous. This is one of those books that I started reading and then thought it would get better and by the time I realized it wasn't going to get better I was too far along to stop. Waste of time.
review 2: I suspect I've picked up another book for a different target audience than myself. I have a hard time finding the story believable. Surely, the police ar
... moree able to track an email address. Surely, they could track cell phones used in the area at the time of the shooting and who owned the cellphone he was talking to. I have hard time believe big company exec would sent a hitman to blogger. He's in the computer industry, wouldn't it be more plausible he would have someone hack her blog or something. Then there's the shoot out at the mall. The police are clueless as to a connection. No, wonder since they don't even interview the people who was there. It kinda felt I was reading one of those 90's Hollywood thriller movies. I ended up finishing the book, and although it was corny, I guess it was ok. less
