review 1: A somewhat standard mystery thriller set in Sweden, with the protagonist the potential victim, stalked by an unknown villain, as she continues her private practice and deals with the death of her husband, even as she is under scrutiny by the police. Enough red herrings (but presumably not pickled ones) to keep the reader interested, although I was only slightly captivate by Siri. Apparently this series is popular in Sweden.
review 2: This was the first book I won on Goodreads and I was pleasantly surprised! I found Siri to be dynamic and unique and the psychological basis for all of the characters seemed sound.It's rare to find a book that is completely suspenseful throughout and whose conclusion really shocks the reader. This book didn't fit either of those cr... moreiteria, but it was a very enjoyable read nonetheless. It appeared to be a great translation from Swedish and I liked reading a story set in a part of Europe I've never visited. I would be very interested to read this novel's sequel. less
